The people at XDA Developers have done it again. They have rooted the Motorola Charm now. They say that the NAND is not yet unlocked with this method, but we can hope that this will be done very soon. The rooting has been done by adopting the Universal Androot method.

Since the NAND has not been unlocked yet, if you want to revert back to the stock version, you can easily do it. You can try it if you want to. But keep in mind that you are responsible for your own deeds.

T-Mobile has finally come up with an official word about the rumored release of the waited Motorola Charm. T-Mobile USA is going to launch the Motorola Charm in the USA smartphone market on August 25th. First, there were no price details given out on the official Twitter page of T-Mobile USA. The only detail given was the release date and that the phone is going to be affordable. After this, rumors fired up again saying that the phone may sell out for $50 to $100. There was also a word that on some contracts, with a 2 yr deal, the Motorola Charm may even go for free.

But finally, Motorola has recently mentioned on its official Twitter page that the new Motorola Charm will be selling out for $74.99, not free unfortunately. This price is expected to be with a 2 yr contract. The phone has a very wide display, which makes it resemble a BlackBerry phone. It has a QWERTY keyboard as well, its a candy bar type phone. So you dont get any slide out keyboard or anything. The phone also has a Kodak 3 MP camera. Telus has also releases a video of the Motorola Charm working on its network. So we may soon expect competitive deals from Telus as well.
